Hello and a 360/6 Question

Hello Everybody. I've just become the proud owner of a 1998 360/6 Mapleglow and a member of this board. There is alot of great information here. I'd like to do a set-up on the guitar as it feels a bit low and I'm also going to put Ric strings on. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to shoot for when adjusting the string height? Or do you just keep playing with it until it feels "right"?

Thanks folks. The step-by-step from Paul is just what I needed. I guess I'll put on the new strings and let them settle for a few days and then check and adjust as needed.
