Neck to Body Piece

Ah, another trial and tribulation. On my 360 V 64, where the neck end laps the body, the TR holes are exposed at the base. In other words, where a binding/covering should be is just, well, exposed between the base of the fretboard and the top toaster. I know some cover piece, I believe, should be there but I have nothing to relate it to, via a picture or whatever. What, if anything, should be done? If this doesn't make a whole heck of a lot sense is because I have no other way of explaining it.

Hi Stan, Thats normal. My 1992 360/12V64 and 1997(year) 1997 are both exposed and look to have always been this way My neck pickups actually touch the neck.

Cool, thanks Daniel...mine just looked like a piece was removed, judging by the residue. Also, it was obvious the previous owner had messed with the top toaster (one screw doesn't match the others) and the TRC appears new, because it has a plastic protective seal over it...so I wasn't sure what had taken place.

My 1993 370/12v64 FG is the same; here's a lo-res close-up:
