620 with fine finish cracks in neck binding

G'day all from OZ,
Can you tell me if fine finish cracks in the binding of the neck, adjacent to the frets, is something terminal? Is it an indicator that the guitar been in a moist environment and the neck swelled causing these fine cracks, apart from the appearance, will it lead to other problems?
