So there were copies with two truss rods?

Yes, but if I remember correctly on the Univox one I seen you used a Hex key to adjust the rods. I imagine this would have limited the adjustment available more than the Ric system.

I notified the seller, here's his response:

"Further to the previous question: I have now take off the nameplate as you suggested and I can only find 1 truss rod. As a result I am suspending the auction until I can get more info & a truer valuation of this bass. Sorry for any inconvenience caused to anybody."

I shouldn't post late at night (above), I meant Allen wrench for adjusting the truss rods, not hex key. the end nut was like a "cap" on the end of the truss rod. I have no idea what the other end looked like.
