I was thinking of pulling the trigger on this one but I'd be pushing my luck.
Seems like a fair buy, and it looks pretty sweet.

He just changed the description from "vintage mint" to good, and "rewired like a J bass".

Bob, that looks awful like the bass that Ted restored and sold to Jeff, who then sold it to Jaymi !!!
Looks nice.

I've played that one as well, nice neck on it, feels nice. And, it survived Jaymi. I think Jeff rewired the pickups when he had it.
Did the seller doesn't mention the restoration work, and the additional wood inserted under the bridge.

What was the history of it's pricing, from Ted via Jeff to Jaymi, I don't think it's $1300 worth, despite the great job done by Ted.

Yup, that is my old bass. You can tell by the larger-than-normal fret dots. The originals are 4mm and this bass has 5mm dots.

The woodgrain really gives it away. Here it is just before I sold it to Jeff Rath.

Ted bought it broken and cheap ... I bought it repaired for $700 - $800 range ... I rewired it vol, vol, tone and traded it to Jaymi for a jetglo 1079 4001 which I sold on ebay ... Jaymi had the frets leveled and kept it for a while and then traded it and an azureglo for 2 ruby red 80's 4003 basses ... then Jaymi moved the red basses to get some non-ric basses that he needs for studio work ... so it has changed hands several times ... it is a good bass ... Ted let it go because he had too many basses, I let it go because I wanted a bass to turn into a 5 string, Jaymi let it go because he is too barbaric with basses and he didin't want to ruin the oil finish ... how's that for a story???

I don't need it since I already have a Ci, so someone else can have a shot at this one.

Wow, I was just reading the thread: "Look what my bass players bought" about Jeff modifying a Cheyenne to a Jazz configuration, and then I go to this thread and find a this. Seeing those picks made me really want to get hold of one. You guys aren't helping me here!
