Fireglo? jetglo? newbie needs more assistance!

howdy (again)
well... i'm about to go for a 330 and i need some imput on color. my heart says fireglo but i've never seen one in person so don't know how much they vary and what i'm liable to get from mf (or any other online dealer). the jetglo is a given as to what you'll get - but it seems a bit mundane when i look at the fireglo. what do you experienced rickers say?

Geoff, I have 5 fireglos & two mapleglos. Fireglo is just the best colour to own, it is really beautiful. Jetglo is OK, but fireglo reigns supreme! (IMO & many others)
I mean...would this look the same in JG?

Peter Buck has played a jetglo 360 throughout the history of REM, it is very, very cool, looks like a damn tuxedo. I was in the store, there was a jetglo 330. I touched it with my finger, and saw a highly noticeable fingerprint. My hands were fairly clean. So, if there is a detractor for jetglo, it certainly isn't that it's plain or mundane, it's more like "high maintenance". For a 330, fireglo or mapleglo are the best colors, I think. The jetglo needs the binding to give it that handsome tuxedo look, I think.

A spray with Brillianize or Meguiar's Final Detail and it will not fingerprint so easily.

If you want fireglo, get a fireglo! Once upon a time, I wanted a mapleglo 330. However, I bought a fireglo 360, figuring that was 'the' color and 'the' model. It was a great guitar, sure, but I wasn't ever quite satisfied until I traded it for a mapleglo 330. And now I'm happy.
A lot of highly reputable and reliable online dealers, like The Music Connection or Pick of the Ricks, post pictures of the actual guitar so you won't be surprised by the finish when it arrives. Besides, they are friendly dealers and could sure use your business more than Musician's Friend. Check out North Coast Music, too.

Fireglo for me.... both my 330/6 and 660/12 look sweet!
However, I like the look of the 620 in Jetglo and the 360 in Mapleglo.
Each to his own!

Wildwood posts beautiful pictures of their stock from four different angles, details, etc. No disappointments here, either!

I bought a 330 in Fireglo from Sam Ash and the color is beautiful. (The only RIC in the store) Photos don't usually do it justice. You have to see it in person to fully appreciate it.

Fireglo. Has to be Fireglo. Nothing else for the 330 but fireglo fireglo fireglo. Save the Jetglo for when you get hooked and go after your 360-12. Like me.....

Actually, I mean generally speaking that photos on the net sometimes don't represent the true color.

I have a beaten up '66 Rose, Morris 1998 with finish wear evident nearly all over the body. Instead of digital photos "not doing it justice" they actually make it look in better condition than it really is. I'm not talking about low resolution hiding the flaws, even high res and good colour matching make it look great. I'm just stating this in case people are under the wrong impression that guitars are always better in real life than in photos.

I'm talking about the quality of the photo itself (resolution) not about hiding flaws. Usually photos on the net are around 72 dpi.
