I'm going to be at the Columbus Rick Confluence late Saturday afternoon (14 May), with my main mission photographing every bass I can for possible inclusion in the book I've started. I even bought a new 8-meg digital camera for the occasion (hey, I'm serious). Can those of you who plan to attend, please list what you hope to bring? Unfortunately, Ted Staberow won't be able to make it, but I can get to his collection fairly easily (he's in Chicagoland, and I'm in Weeesconsin). So who's going and what are you bringing?

You just broke my heart about Ted. I'm sure he's upset as well.
I will be there Friday and Saturday night with my 1973 4001 Sea Green project(which would not exist without Ted) and my newly acquired 4004 Cheyene II in Blue Boy finish

I plan to be there Paul! That is as long as I can get my basses there without checking them - working on it.
I plan to bring my 85 4001V63 MG with original Horseshoe and either my Shadow or my 4003 S5 JGBT

Ken,
Good luck with the surgery, the senior partner at the studio went through that back in October. You should be okay.
If not, can I have your '67 4001S?

I'll be there with my '97 4003s8 (black plastic/chrome hardware) for sure and am debating on bringing my two run-of-the-mill 4003's (Midnight Blue/MapleGlo). Paul....if you would like me to bring the last two I will.....no problem since I'm driving.
If I am lucky enough to receive my 4004LK by then I will certainly bring it along as well.(still clinging on to last threads of hope)
Best wishes to you and your health Ken !

Whoa Ken!
Here's to better health.
The CABG should be good for another 3-4 years, tell the plumber to fix the problem first!

I'll be there Friday afternoon till Saturday morning. I'll have my Tranny Red CII, Mapleglo V63, and just just for a splash of color, my 4003 Blueboy.
Paul, if your serious about this book, and would like to include any of my basses, I would glady plan a trip to Wisconsin just for the opportunity.

Unfortunately, I have Reserve duty that weekend and can't make it. However, I'll be glad to forward pics of my '73 4001 with all the pre-transition features (checkered binding, split tailpiece and full-width inlays) if you like.
