Simona: From January 28th to April 25th, Mike Pender is performing on the ReelinandaRockin2002 Tour. I have not seen any new engagements listed for MIKE PENDERS' SEARCHERS. Hopefully the MPS Fan Club will respond with some more details. I do know that Mike Pender has said that the current tour may continue beyond April 2002.

Kevin Healey joined MPS in 1999 as a replacement for Paul Jackson.

Are the acts on the Reeling and Rocking tour with their own bands?

I understood the Pacemakers were acting as back-up group for all.

Gary: The acts on the ReelinandRockin tour are not touring with their own bands. I am not sure of the members in the back-up band.

Gary: As a follow-up, you are quite right. They are, as I understand it, a backup group of six musicians essentially comprised of the Pacemakers. Should you know their names I would be grateful if you would post them here. Just in passing, I was sorry to hear of Gerry Marsden's daughter's accident in Florida.

Kevin Healey, lead guitarist with MIKE PENDER'S Searchers recently wrote Quote:Gerry Marsden's band were all set to do the ReelinandaRockin Tour, but they were replaced at the eleventh hour by a bunch of session muso's, although I think Tony and Steve will be joining up with Gerry again when the tour finishes. The Searchers' Forum thanks Kevin for taking the time to send this information along.

Yes Peter, my alarm clock is set for May, the 18th I think? I am very much looking forward to getting back to the past. I am keeping all my moving parts well oiled and have a fresh bottle of Grecian 2002 slipped inside my glove so I don't lose it (for Mike that is).
If I am honest? I would have to say that I miss it, it is so easy to take the perks of a job like this for granted when you are gigging all the time, it's only when you have a few month's away from it that you realise what a priviliged position you are in, not so much the standing on stage playing, but the social side, some of the people we meet regularly at gigs we have known for years, not to mention the people associated with the band, we keep in touch of course, but it's not the same, so for me, may cannot come soon enough, and you can't get more honest than that can you? And don't think I've forgotten it's Steve's round. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as humanly possible in the coming year, I'll be the dark haired one that doesn't squeek.
All the best
Kevin

Kevin: Why not bring us up to date? It has been a year since you have written.
