Since John mentioned on another post, another thread, Rickenbacker would be coming up on its 75th year in '06, I began to wonder what RIC would do to commemorate this auspicious occasion. I'm sure everyone has some idea of what they would like to see to mark 75 years of Rics. What might that be? Huh, John, something, nothing?

If anniversary instruments are offered, I hope that they're not ghastly pearl-inlaid, gold-scrolled monsters like some other manufacturers have put on the market.
I'm sure the wheels are turning at Santa Ana.
IMO, keep it simple, tatestful and understated!!
I'll have one of those '59 Capri reissues, thanks.......

Make it a '58 365 Capri. Alder body (inexpensive), RIC already has the correct bridge, wiring, pickups(325C58), etc....I'll take one in AG and another in MG. You can never have enough!

How about a light show. Any excuse is a good excuse to reissue lightshows!

Maybe a completely new design model, like a baritone guitar, short-scale bass, no cutaway semi-hollow bass....

Which is it, a '59 or '58? And yeah, it's all a dream.

If an anniversary model is offered, I dont think John Hall would allow it to be anything but spectacular.
Instead of an "Anniversary" model, so to speak, I would prefer a one year opportunity to order some of the discontinued options on current models, like checker binding, black trim, pickup upgrade,,,,,,,,,,,, the return of the "S" model would also be awesome.
