A couple of funny thing's no seller feed back,he's listed it as a 78, only one picture, sounds fishy. If its legit he's in for the shock of his life when the auction price goes through the roof. It's a 60s 4005 with mop inlays finger rest ...looks to be a 67 alot of them seem to be 67s.something funny about the tuners cant tell from pic.

"Something funny about the tuners". The tuners posts/bushings, maybe? They look somewhat larger than usual. It could be our eyes, though.

The bushings do look a little large. Better pictures would help. The F/G finish does look like a 67. The 4005 I nearly bought a couple of years back was a 68 and that went to Italy. That fireglo looked darker.

It's got a reserve, so it would indicate that the seller knows some thing about it. I always think that a reserve is one of the things that makes me feel that an ad is legit. There are more things of course, but I always wonder if a scammer would bother with a reserve...

Chris doesn't have an Italian 4005! His wife wants to go to Europe so this would be perfect, Chris could pick it up in person.
BTW, Chris, did you know that your wife wants to go to Europe?

Chris, my bid was a hopeless and pathetic EUR 1,000 first bid, I'm out!
Bob: the seller has corrected the text - "SCUSATE MA IL BASSO E DEL 1968, E NON DEL .1978." Someone tell him it's even older than that!
