Hi all. Who has the best and most accurate replacement pickguard for my 74' 4001? The fit is crucial and the 1/2 inch space from neck to neck pickup has to be exact.

Send Tony your pickguard so he can match things up perfectly.

I second the pickguardian nomination. I recently received a white plexi for my 73 4001 and Tony's work was perfect. Turn-around time was quick too.

I have a Picguardian replacement as well as the original for my '74 4001 and they are a match. The last owner of my bass provided me with the history.

Just yesterday I received a Pickguardian black guard for my white '73 (anyone needs the ****** Chandler black guard I took off the bass?) - it's perfect. Tony's work is superb. He's also a great guy to deal with. I was also very happy with Don Adamek's pickguards. These are the best options.

Don Adamek made a replacement for my damaged '80 4001 PG about five years ago, and it is beautiful. Is he still making them?
