Howdy!
I'd like to ID my "Rickenbacher" bakelite:

It's a 2 knob version, NOT string thru, with black plates. Sounds terrific, by the way.
I believe it's fairly early Post War, but wouldn't know how to get more specific than that.

I'm not interested in selling it, I just would like to know what I have. I pulled it out of my closet after several years, and intend to play it.

Also, if anyone knows where I might be able to get a decent case, I'd appreciate it, since the case I have is pretty fragile.

Thanks kindly

Gary,
The pickup configuration and metal tailpiece definitely place it in the postwar era, but the metal logo on the headstock is almost exclusively a prewar characteristic. I guess yours is probably one of the earliest postwar models with a left over prewar logo. Hope this helps.

Richard,
thanks kindly

I probably should've bought the Ricky book long ago, since I don't know all the details.

the main thing is, it sounds and looks great

Yeah, they're great sounding steels.
Sorry, I can't help with the case.
