Sigificantly modded?????? Yeah, I would say a new neck, pickups, string tree among other things are fairly significant...

I am curious what the headstock on the guitar neck looks like...think it's a Strat neck?

Too bad it would be so tough to put this one back into semioriginal shape...not a lot of aftermarket Rickenbacker bolt on necks out there! But, if some budding Pete Townshend out there put a damaged Rick guitar body with an intact neck up for auction, it would make one interesting project....

I would not be terribly difficult to reproduce the neck but it would impact the value. The BIN is low but not low enough, I'm afraid. It would end up being a player.

That pic of Jeff's really reminds me of a PBC bass I saw once. Anyone remember anything about those and their "tension-free" necks?
