First of all I'm so very glad I chose a Rickenbacker (330 fireglo) as my first guitar. I'm contemplating a second RIC (already) Yep it's addictive. It's between a 350v63 and a 620, Most likely a blueburst or fireglo. Which guitar would compliment the 330? I'm looking for diversity in tone. I'm leaning towards the 350v63 as I prefer the body shape. Ideas ?

620 JetGlo with toasters. Actually, I have never played one, but it seems like it would be a great guitar. JetGlo is awesome, and the 620 binding would make it rather handsome.

I'd play each first, the necks on the 620 are nice and phat, of course you have to like that. Never played a 350, maybe the next time I'm by Guitar center I'll give it a try.

It's nice to have variety. The 620 has a thru body neck, it's solid, it's double bound, it's all around different than a 330.

350V63 Dan. 3 p/ups will give you loads of variation on your 330. They are really lovely on the neck/mid combination.
A 620 will sound quite similar to your 330, but a little 'harder' because of the solid body.

I'm primarily a bass player with big hands. I owned a 350 for about 2 months then sold it. Just couldn't play it. The neck was too thin. I've been lusting after a 660, however with the full inlays and checkered binding and toasters, gold TRC and pickguard. AND, thick neck. You can't beat those combinations!!! I'd love to play one. As far as color, Montezuma Brown or Blueburst would be my personal choice.

Double bound, Stan? My 660 ("Deluxe" 620) isn't.

Ooopps, sorry meant deluxe bound, not double.

I thought SOP around here was to follow up with a 12 string!
IMO a 660/12 FG would be just the ticket!!
Goes really well with a 330 FG!

There's motar these Rickenbackers than meets the eye, Howard. Very nice photo with the brick red contrasting with the fireglo.

Mortar, he means. Now the pun works.
Just thought I'd cement the concept back together, Peter...
