Hommage a George

Post by einar »

I understand that the Searchers took part in a Tribute concert for George Harrison, at the Liverpool Empire, last Sunday 24th. As Paul McCartney showed up unannounced, he got most of the attention. He performed Yesterday, a capella. I wonder if the event was attended by anyone reading this, or if anyone has read about it. (And especially about how our boys behaved!)
Any report appreciated!

Einar, Trondheim.
Searchers amongst my teenage favourite music. Still fond of them, but earnestly a little puzzled they are considered THIS big! But I'm very excited about this forum, and will love to read it regularly, and also contribute!

The Searchers were not booked to appear but were apparently advertised as being on the bill. The Searchers were in fact playing at the Princess Theatre, Hunstanton, a long standing booking.
The Searchers are the best!
