Voxfest VI (Rickenbacker, too)

Hey, for everyone who may be unaware, Voxfest VI is on May 21 (one week from today, Saturday the 14th).

Rickenbacker will have a display there, as will Korg (parent company of Vox). Lots of great vintage gear will be on display -- partly because Voxfest is being held at History for Hire. If you don't know about HfH, it's the prop house that supplies a large amount of the historically accurate props for many Hollywood productions, including That Thing You Do, American Dreams, and the recent Elvis miniseries.

There will be live music, a demonstration of Vox hybrid amps, an AC30 shootout, and other demos.

And just announced is a very cool addition. No, the Voxmobile was not available, but they got the next best thing -- the Munster Koach!

All Voxfest details can be found at {http://www.voxfest.com,www.VoxFest.com}.

Here's a clickable link (the one above doesn't seem to work correctly).

Drat! I already have a commitment that day, otherwise I'd go to it.

The link in my initial post didn't work because I screwed up.

BTW, over on VoxTalks, both John Hall and Kenny Howes have indicated they'll be at Voxfest!

John Hall was there, but I didn't run into Kenny.

It was a terrible event. 100 degrees with no shade. I've had more interesting instruments/amps/people over at my house at any one time than were there. Plus I have air conditioning...

It was a "scorcher" to be sure! My arms are still a little sunburned. In fact, it was soooooo hot. . .

"How hot was it?"

It was so hot, John Hall didn't even know who I was. ;-)

No? OK. . . It was so hot, I saw a dog chasing a rabbit; and they were both walking.

Well, not to worry. . . I'm keeping my "day" job.

Kenny,

Which guy standing next to John? (I know, the one that was you.)

Scott, the proper thought would have been "the one who was not John and not me" (in reference to yourself). I honestly don't think you could have managed to fit more than three people in that booth at one time!

OK. I think I've got it now. The person who wasn't John, me, or Kevin was Kenny. Nice to have almost met you Kenny.

I should think the Munster Koach would have been quite an attraction.
