ACCENT VIBROLA HANDLE (REPRODUCTION REVIEW)

I just purchased (won?? for $43.84 w/ shipping) a Ebay Auction for an Vintage Style Accent Vibrola Handle (60's style) unit, and it arrived today. So I thought others may be interested in my review of this handle as I have an original 68 365 to compare it to. First of all there are slight differences between the original and the repro part. The profile of the handle is very close to the original contour, but it lacks the exact compound curve that my original 68 handle has. The quality of the handle is excellent as it shows a well plated chrome finish that is smooth and pit free. I also am pleased with the quality of the fit between the pivot ring and the handle body itself. The angle at which the tip end juts out is slightly different than the original unit, but just slightly different. Please note that all these so called flaws are so minute that unless you have an original unit right next to the repro part you may not realize the differences. Then there is always the possibility that Rickenbacker may not have produced this part exactly the same way each time. Others on this forum could more correctly speak to that aspect of course. In closing, I would have to say that this unit is a keeper and I would recommend it to others. I purchased the unit because at some point I want a 1966 335 in Fire Glo and my experience tells me it may not have the Vibrato Handle.

Need some help: I'm refinishing and restoring a 1967 325 for a fellow. It is missing the vibrato arm, I have a mid 60's arm in mint condition, what price should I ask for this? I got this in the 70's from a guy who wanted a stop tail piece on his Rick and gave me the parts left over. Thanks for any realistic pricing help on this.

I'd start it at $1500.00.
I saw a Tucker crate motor at the Pomona swap meet about 20 years ago. He wouldn't even talk price!
