Not a Ric but a tube amp!

I have run across another gem of a bargain, I think... but is it as good as I think it is?
The item in question is a 1979 Peavey VT series Dual 12 tube amp. It have been VERY well taken care of and just refurbished (cleaned up... o dust bunnies, etc... tubes checked). It comes with the original 4 way foot pedal and even still has the original vinyl amp cover.

Should I put some money down on this bad boy? I have a birthday coming up and I think this amp would be the nuts to go with the two other Peavey's that now grace our house. (I bought a KB750 for my son for a practice bass amp for $169 this week.)

Any advice? Is this a good buy? It is a tube amp and the shop tells me that getting tubes is not a problem.

Thanks

If you like Peavey's, then go for it. I personally can't stand any Peavey I've ever heard or played, but I'm of the opinion that any tube amp can be made to sound good whereas the same can't be said of a transistor amp.
