Without question, the Liverpool Football Club has become the most famous club in history. Does it owe its success entirely to Liverpool? Your comments are invited.

It did at first, but in the late 50s early sixties we an influx of Scotsmen, which gave the team more drive, then came the introduction of Bill Shankly, who transformed a run of the mill 2nd Division, in to what was the start of an era,
trophys ,championships followed, then Liverpools fan base increased, to be a World wide Force, some cynics say Liverpool should be for Liverpool Residents, but that is wrong, with the world wide support, spurned, future players who were Liverpool supporters, to name a few..N Barmby, P Berger, V Smicer, J Litmanen,etc..Liverpool Belongs to The World, I am proud to have been a supporter in their 2nd Division days. that means I enjoy their success more because i have seen the Bad times

Arty: When one thinks of the Liverpool FC two things come to mind for me: outstanding football and violence. There are some who may argue that the two go hand in hand. Has the aggression associated with the game made it more popular or less so. I am interested in your view.
