I have seen the list of musicians in my local newspaper for the upcoming concerts for famine relief in Africa on July 2. Have the Searchers been contacted to appear or will it be a surprise for all of us fans. Don't you think it would be great exposure for them to play at one of the venues, to have the whole world tuned in to the telly where they could win over a new generation of fans with their music?

Somehow I don't think they would have been contacted, Ed, but I agree with you wholeheartedly. Seems to me they forget about us 'oldies' when it comes to these sorts of things - "if it ain't current it ain't in!".

...and the funniest thing is that all that 'current', if we try to dig deep, is actually nothing more than the same ol' 'oldies' in a new suit... just look at what they call 'punk rock' now, ah? their guitar style is nothing but an electrified copy of what mr. McNally did in early 60's...

Have you ever noticed how all the 'grunge' vocalists seem to be doing a David Clayton Thomas impression? I've been wanting a BS&T tribute album featuring all those clowns, I mean clones...
Maybe it's just because I want to hear Eddie Vedder singing "Ride a painted pony..."

Peter...I haven't, but I'll sure check it out as soon as I can. Thanks for the tip.
The word is that Bobby Colomby lives here in Denver...I'd give my left, er, ventricle to jam with that dude...
