I haven't had very much luck capturing McGuinn's sound with my 360/12 CW through a Johnson J-Station. If you have had any success, would you care to share your settings?

BTW, I thought of getting a Janglebox, but right now it's low on my list of expenditures.

A J station is similar to a POD

Try this ... select the VOX or Matchless setting for amp ... then set your treble at 3/4 all the way up
The mid at 1/3rd up to 2/3rds up
and the bass ... what ever sound good ... not too boomy .
You will need to play with the mid and bass knob to get the 'tone' .

Set your distortion on real low .
Your volume level to your liking ....then the trick
That is ...select the compression .
Adjust how much you want .... add some reverb don't over use that however .

Then select the bridge pickup ..turn guitars controls on full ... and play Mr Tambourine man .

Can you get the sound ? or does it sound more like 8Miles High ?

You will have to also try the the cleanest amp setting.

You will need some solid nickel flatwounds too.
