Replacement Pickguards?

There's no Rick in my home yet, but a 620 is in my not-so-distant future. I've always had fun making my guitars look a little different by modifying the pickguards. Some I've painted, and I've laminated photos onto others. (See below for a pic of my "Boba Fretless" F**der J**z clone.)
Has anyone tried Chandler's direct replacement Rickenbacker pickguards? They're expensive, and I'd like to know if they work. Any other thoughts on replacements?

I'm willing to bet you Chandler can't offer you"direct replacement" pickguards for any or every Rick you need a part for. Rickenbacker can't, and doesn't pretend to.If Chandler is trying to tell you they can offer you one of their guards for Whatever model or era Rick and guarantee that Every last screw hole matches your instrument, having never seen it, I will personally get my fork and start eating a truckload of acrylic plastic! Why? Cause I know they can't do what I just described. But I can, and will be shortly again, soon as my shop is up and running. When you deal with me, I will guarantee you get a perfect match, or your money back, or we try again and get it right.I have at least a few dozen raving customers here who will testify to what I say. So what do You need?

While cleaning out the garage (finally), I found a large sheet of clear plexiglas which looks to be about the same thickness as the pickguards.
Just for fun, I'd like to fool around and try to make a few *custom* upper pickguards for my rics.
I've made some images in PaintShop, but haven't been able to come up with a good method of applying them to the back of the plexiglas. Any suggestions?
Please feel free to email me, if you don't wish to publicly reveal your trade secrets
TIA
