No, there isn't, when others go unsold for $900. One like that is not worth $2000+, although I guess it is really "worth what someone is willing to pay".

Wow...got to wonder about the shill aspect. $2100 for that bass is far too much.
It does, however, look very nice. Maybe a $1400-1500 instrument, but not 25-35% more than that.

He had a good story that seemed believeable, that's half the battle, it does look in really nice shape, I wouldn't have paid anywhere near that for it though.

Read the feedback for the winning bidder. The whole deal is fishy. The guy had perfect feedback until recently. It looks like a hijacked account.
