This thing is hammered. The TRC, pickguards are all cracked as well, which to me greatly reduces its value even as a parts guitar. Unless you have a gutted late '70s RIC and you want the electronics and Grovers, I have no idea why in God's name you'd spend $500+ on this. It's a basket case.

I saw that too! That is one very sad Ric. Looks like it got run over by a car!

It's painful to think about what this guitar went through. Maybe a Pete Townshend impression?

Man, that burgundy is nice...

I suppose the TRC and the R tailpiece are worth $400?!

OK Peter, it's all yours!

If only it could speak - I'm sure we would all be in tears!!

Maybe the original owner was trying to teach his pet gorilla how to play. Image

Where do people come off with these prices. $510 and the reserve was not met. Unless you do all the work yourself, which you'd have to at this price, you would pay $500 or so to a luthier to fix it, and it will always be worth quite a bit under a non-restored one would sell for.

To me, it is worth $250 or so, mainly for the parts, or to go along with $500 in repairs, regardless of who did the work.

I should add, I still wouldn'd pay $250!

LOL!

Now if that was a 60's guitar.........

Early 80's High-Gains are highly sought after with Peter Buck/R.E.M. fanatics.
