Crack the Sky. First album.

Especially the songs "Mind Baby" and "Ice".

Years ago, I talked to Joe Macre, Crack the Sky's bassist for that time period, and he confirmed (no, there was never a doubt) that he played a Rick 4001 on this album, except for "Hold On" and "Surf City" (P-Bass).

Awesome sound! Awesome music.

Great band, great album, although my favorite of theirs is 'White Music' (no idea if John Palumbo played a Ric on that one, though). They had a great sense of warped humor that I always felt was missing from most of their contemporaries.

Rick Witkowski, guitarist from Crack the Sky, is still active in Pittsburgh are as a producer and with the B.E. Taylor Group. And he's still warped! www.betaylor.com

Great band. There's more Rickenbacker on their second album "Animal Notes". Later Macre switched to Alembic.

I'm pretty sure Palumbo played a P-Bass on "White Music".

My favourite Macre bass part is on "Lighten Up McGraw".
