Can any one recommend a good practice amp to use with my Ric 325v63?I have a Tech 21 TM 10 which is great for my Gibson and Fender but I can't find a good "jangly" Rick setting.I had a Vox ADVT 15 in the past but I couldn't get the sound I like without cranking it which is not good for playing at home as I have to keep it low(neighbors,girlfriend works nights).I thought maybe the Vox ADVT 30 might be better as that has a power choke built in but I don't know how well that works.Any suggestions for an amp with good tone at low volume would really be appreciated.

Try looking at a Pathfinder 15R.
I used to own one and it worked fine for playing in the house...

You should be able to score one for pretty cheap, I think they're discontinued but I may be wrong.

I bought a ADV60VTX and I must say with the 15watt setting in the back or even the 1watt, it's quite usuable and perfect for in house playing.
Might be too expensive for a practice amp...

How about a Line 6 POD and a set of headphones ?

A Rickenbacker TR-7 is also a nice practice amplifier and you can usually get one for around $100 US or less.

The AD30VT has a power level pot. Price is pretty good, too.

It seems that "the word is out" on the TR-7, as the last couple I saw on the 'Bay were more than $100.00US, although I can't recall the sell prices exactly. I think (judging by starting eBay bid prices) that the collectors are casting an eye toward Rickenbacker amps a bit more than in the past...

The VOX Pathfinder 15 has been selling for $75 on ebay.

It's not perfect, but on my Trademark 10, I set it at British/clean/UK with the treble and mids boosted a little. Gain all the way down, Master up at about 12 o'clock. It's difficult to emulate the sound of an AC-30 with a solid state amp, but it does an 'OK' job. For me, anyway.

One more vote for the Pathfinder 15R. The sound is there, if you dial it up just right.

Thanks for the posts guys.I do want a Vox but for right now my Tradmark 10 sounds pretty good after I tried the settings that Ethan suggested(thanks man!).Also today I should get back my Silvertone 1451 from the shop(having one of the caps changed so i don't get fried) .It's a tiny Sears/Danelectro tube amp from around 1962.Can't wait to hear what my Rick sounds like through that puppy.

I'm actually doing a detachable brain + scaleable speaker setup myself. I have a vox tonelab SE hooked up to a solid state practice amp right now (Anything clean and reasonably flat of eq will work) But the tonelab can always be paired with bigger speakers to get the same sound in different venues.

You might want to try out a Tech 21 Trademark 10.

I just got one and couldnt be happier, excellent quality build and tone, its an all analog modelling amp made in NYC. Perfect for bedroom practice.

I currently dont have a Rickenbacker, I'm awaiting the arrival of one that I ordered what seems like years ago!

I'd play around with the British/Tweed settings with the Drive around 2 o'clock, Low at 9 o'clock Mids the same and the High level up.
