Axe-zactly Music
Year: 1935 (Circa)
Make: Rickenbacker
Model: Bedpost Fretted Upright Double Bass
Color: Brown
Condition: Very Good
Price: Call for price!
Description:
This is just amazing. Here is probably a prototype from the 1930's by Rickenbacker of an upright fretted bass. Early Horseshoe magnet pickup. A little larger than a cello. Bound Ebony fingerboard with bound round sound-hole and top and back binding. This could possibly be the first example of a fretted electric bass in American history. Currently in the shop undergoing a set-up. We haven't seen anything like this in any books ever. We inserted one pic to give you an idea, but full detailed pictures will be up as soon as it gets out from the shop. (I bet you just cant wait!). Leave it to us to dig something like this out of the bowels of New Jersey! Currently NOT FOR SALE. Feel free to call us directly for more information......609-561-8744

Hehehe...not a problem. Threads can fade down the list pretty quickly. Be interesting to know more about that beast.
