All Along The Watchtower by Hendrix seems to have an accoustic 12 doing rythm and the slide part of the solo sounds like octaves, and much too in sync to be 2 different tracks. Could that have been a 12? Image

I think the octaves in the solo came from a Roger Mayer Octavia pedal. I have a Danelectro French Toast which does a creditable imitation....

Hendrix looked bored out of his mind.

Pete's not too happy either.

Supposedly it is Dave Mason on acoustic 12 on "Watchtower"..

I always thought Jimi just "Wes Mongomeried" the octaves, but I'm a bass player ... what do I know? Octave pedal's a possibility though.
