Wasn't it Einstein* who said; "Futility is to keep doing something the same way-and expect a different result"

All those GC auctions are hillarious. Although they had a Carvin R600 amp up for no reserve (starting bid $159) a while ago...that seemed like a legit auction. I think the amp went for about $300, which IMO is a little high for a used amp that's $500 new.

Actually, Carvin is selling the 1000 W version of that amp for the same price as the 600 W...so three bills for a used R600 seems too much. I think I bowed out of that auctiona t about $200.

Hell, I'm looking for a deal on the 'Bay, not a fleecing! Image

I've heard that Carvin over rates their amp's power.

That bass is from the GC I go to most often. I can't help but laugh every time I see it.

I think it's "Insanity is doing the same thing expecting different results". Rock out like The beatles!

We can laugh at GC but these auctions, however futile, do have an effect, they will push asking prices on vintage Rics upwards.

Ilan, if that comes to be.............
Anybody want to buy a worn, uh, well gigged, 90's vintage squire P bass for only $900.00?!
It's also made in the remote, mystical land of Taiwan!
