Wiring Schematics for "Rick-O-Tone" Control

Post by tommybrock »

My question concerns the conversion of the fifth knob into a "Rick-O-Tone" control, as described in Mark's article about the fifth knob. I have the schematics sheet for my 350V63 from RIC's website and I understand it well enough. My question is: Where do I connect the .0047 capacitor, directly to the live and sweeper posts?, between selector switch and knob? Is it arbitrary which way the capacitor is facing,i.e., is there an "in" and an "out"? Also, once done, will it effectively alter my pickup to imitate that vintage ric sound? Thanks. Tommy
