Wow!!! That is one mod that I have NEVER seen .
It must be someone who is in their late 50's early 60's and a BIG Kingston Trio fan.
This is a new one on me .

Very Cool..I've seen some factory Gibson tenor guitars, but did Rickenbacker ever make any?? I wanna say I've seen one in a book, but I may be confusing myself with the Banjoline......

According to tenorguitar.com, Rickenbacker did make tenor guitars for a while.

The strings are kinda far apart on that one.
Ric "made" tenor guitars in the early days, when they just slapped a pickup and badge on a blank Harmony.
The also made the Banjoline in the 60s that was strung similar to the one on EBAY, but with only two sets of doubled strings and an extra thin neck.
They also had a four string version of their electric Banjo (Bantar).
They may have made some one-off tenors too. Secret Rickenbackers seem to show up every now and then... I've just been informed of a couple of custom mando-guitars, which were apparently a Banjoline set up at the factory with eight strings- so finding a true 330 or 360 with a little tenor neck wouldn't surprise me.
