I know you don't have to help, but is 300 to low to snipe. Should i put a higher maximum? It's at 260 with 5 hours to go....

You might not get it even at $300, the reserve hasn't been hit yet. He might be asking more than that...

There are two more ebay auctions on 4b's. The other two have 5 or 6 days to go so I don't want to go TOO high on the first one I try for! No what I mean?

The reserve was met at $300.00, that is a V4 not a V4-B, but a lot of bass players use them, the only difference is the V4 has reverb.. If you have patience you can get a V4-B for around the same price.

I had a V4 that I ran through an SVT cabinet. Great sound with my 4001, but a very heavy head for 100+ watts. I think the V4's are even heavier than the V4-B's because of the reverb tank.

The going price for a V-4B on E-Bait is about one third of what they are asking for a new one. You should be able to score a nice used one if your are vigilant and patient.
I traded a Porta Bass 800 for a new V4BH and a Radial Bassbone and don't regret it one bit.
Yes they are heavy but the grunt is worth it.

Look in something like Tradin' Times, or a classified sales book that comes out once a week. I bought the one I posted a pic of for $250, with a matched quad of Svetlana tubes.

Wow, a Porta Bass 800 is one very nice amp, the V4BH must have a nice vibe to beat it...see my thread on the V4BH from about a year or two back...

The Deltalite 15s I put in my Traynor YS-15 cabinets do sound excellent.

speaking of Traynor, saw a YBA200(?) at the Fountain Valley GC fo $999!
