Compression Options for Nailing The BYRDS Sound

I find that a BOSS CS-3 Compression/Sustain pedal set (l to r) at "12:00", "12:00", "12:00", "1:00" coupled to my '66 Fireglo Ricky 360-12 and then plugged into my Roland JC-90 really nails the Byrds sound remarkably well.
A less expensive alternative to a JangleBox perhaps. Check one out if you're in the "Nail The Byrds Sound" market.

Look on eBay for an old tube rack Altec or similar for REALLY nailing the Columbia Byrds sound.
Expensive option!

There are many less expensive alternatives to JangleBox. Of course, there's a reason why they're less expensive.
But here's what the guy who originally "nailed the Byrds sound" now uses.

(scroll to the bottom: "Is there an outboard compressor that sounds as good as the one in the Roger McGuinn 370/12RM model 12-string?").

Steve speaks the truth!
I received my JangleBox and it is a clear WINNER over the BOSS CS-3.
My BOSS CS-3 is now for sale if anyone is interested.

Also look at the EMMA for a straght COMP pedal - That and the Jangle Box are the Cat's *** - Boss pedals make for nice dog toys
