Here's my '04 VW R32 loaded up for a gig. I'm ready to go except for my 4 Rics. Two go in the front passenger seat, one gets squeezed between the cabinets and one gets strapped on top of the cabinets). It may not be the safest if I get into an accident but anything other than a pickup is about as safe (unless your rig fits in the trunk....and what fun is that

).
2 Mesa Boogie Diesel 1x15" and 1 2x10"
4 space and 3 space SKB rack cases
Pedalboard....currently being revamped
Blue gig bag with cables, stands and whatnot.
(the small black bag is my jack and emergency kit for the VW).
I just always shake my head when I load up and I'm sure others on here do the same.....

You've got room for a metronome, Brian. You know what those drum freaks are like!!

How about a big foam skull for a stage ornament, ala Spinal Tap? haha.
Brian - good luck on the House of Blues gig I saw you post on in another thread.... If I'm ever in your neck of the woods I will check your scheudule.

What kind of gig is it that you need 4 basses?

I have Toyota Corolla, and the trunk is about 1/4" too short to fit my 2x10 cab. So that goes in the back seat, and the bass(es, if I have a gig) go in the trunk.
I fear greatly the consequences of a rear end collision. But not much I can do. While my son is away for the next few weeks I could use his Escort wagon...but that car is pretty sad...

I had my 4003 in the trunk of a rental, got rear-ended on Interstate 35. I lept out of the car, pried open the trunk...the bass was untouched.

Although I am very happy for the outcome of your incident, Ronn, it still doesn't quell the fear!
I suppose that's one purpose for the hard case, but...

All right here it is: 94 Cutlass Supreme, not the biggest car in the world, it's a mid size. I put my upright in the front seat through the back door, with both seats all the way back armrest up and seat tilted all the way back takes up that whole side of the car if it was 1 inch longer it would not go in (not an exaggeration), I raise the seat so the neck is out of the way of the back with the body resting on the seat instead of the neck. I've taken out the back seat so I can put an 8 X 10 in it which also does not go in easily. I put one or two SVT heads in the trunk, my suitcase for cords, two stands one for Ric, one for upright and one or two Rics depending on the gig. then... I put my wife in the front in the middle if it is a close gig, if not she stays home. I need a new car, something bigger. It took me a while to figure out how to put everything in. People can't believe it when they see the stuff that comes out of that car, haha!

"What kind of gig is it that you need 4 basses?"
Need is relative

.
The LK is my main, 4003MID is standard tune backup, 4003MG is tuned BEAD and the 4003s8 just sounds HUGE and fits in perfectly in some of our more melodic songs so I have to bring it too.
I have no roof rack and don't think I'd use it for equipment if I did. BTW....I do have a First-Aid kit in a side compartment for my blood loss needs.....
Dean...thanks for the wish of luck....I'm hoping the gig goes at least as good as the last one. It may become more regular if it does !
