Same here, but that new-style pickguard would have to go, and also I would have the headstock re-shaped. Sorry, but I really do find the current 4003 headstock unpleasant to look at.

I think it's the picture, maybe the shadow, the headstocks don't look ungainly like that in person.

I love the current headstock ... it is like the 60's headstocks ... the shortened headstocks always looked dwarfish to me ... and I love the current pickguard ... it is very well shaped ... I have 2 2001 4003 basses ... I like them both ...

I agree with Jeff ,the current shape of the whole 4003 is a blast from the past sorta how they are supposed to look,77 4001 looks funny next to a new 4003.

Nice maple on that neck!
I'm a sucker for curly blondes!

Notice the Emperor is high bidder on that one too. Does he think he can re-sell that one at an exorbitant profit or something?

Kevin,
Will this do?

The "E" would like to drop a horseshoe in, stick a reissue toaster and vintage TRC on it and before you know, it will be back up for sale for close to $500 more than what he paid for it.
The usual stuff....
Some he wins, but he's had to suck this up twice now...

I like the vintage headstock better than the shorter ones too. As far as the blonde goes,.... oh yeah!

He is just asking too much for that one, Wints. I think he could move it if he came down about $200, but that would kill his profit margin. And Jeff, Nice call.

Oooohhh.... there's plenty of comments that could be made, Jeff. I think it would be prudent of me to simply say 'Crikey!!!'.
BTW, I'm having a bit of trouble finding 'Rickenbacker' anywhere on the body or headstock.
