Stepping into the "Dark Side"

G'day all from Down Under. Being a huge fan of Rick guitars, I felt my life (and collection) would not be complete without a Rick bass, so I took the plunge into the 'Dark Side' on Tuesday night:
I know it's only your basic 4003FG and the picture definitely doesn't do it justice, but there ya go!!
Having played a Framus bass back in the 60s, I'm not entirely new to them but I'll have to spend quite a bit of time getting used to pressing those 'big thick things' which are so far apart!! Also the distance between frets - can you buy finger extensions?
Anyhow, I'm looking forward to spending lots of time with my new friend. All I need now is a decent amp but that won't be far away.
Cheers!!

Thanks, Nate. There is at least one other over here. Darren Trott has a really nice 1975 4000.....
If you're hereabouts, Darren, hope you don't mind me spreading your shots around!

Thanks, Jim. If nothing else it will look cool alongside my other Fireglo Ricks - 330/6, 660/12 and 360/6 (when in arrives).

Nice one Howard!
As far as I'm concerned, there's no such thing as JUST a Rickenbacker...

That's one of the nicer new Fireglos I've seen Howard, a lot of them were very dark near the edge, that one blends nicely.

Thanks, Bob. It's an April 2004 build.
Part of this big spend up I'm engaged in is a new camera. THEN you'll see some decent pics!!
