of my toaster pickups. Its a 1962 625 and I was pulling off the pickups and hardware to clean it up a bit. I noticed that a previous owner had taped the magnets back into the pickups. I want to gluse them back in. How do I know which end should go in and which end should be sticking out?

(Sigh...) The man can "knock-out" kids four-at-a-time... yet doesn't know which end to stick it in...?

Here is THE check for you .

All magnets have North pole and south poles .

Like magnet poles do not like each other , the south will stick to the north
And the opposite for the other end .....so here is what you do ....

Take the loose magnet and check which end 'likes' the glued in magnets ....then mark that one , you will need to check all of the magnets .

Then ...I use 5 minute epoxy to glue them in .I also use a squeeze clamp , sort of a giant clothes pin .
This holds the magnet in place while the epoxy does it's job .

DO NOT use Cyanoacrylate for this .
