Hia. I was wondering what would happen if I build my own idea for a pickup. NO LAUGHING FOR HOW STUPID I MAY SOUND!!!

what if the core was four seperate peices of wood with space in between them and if the copper wire was wrapped in between them. in kind of a weaving way. the kind left through one, right through the other way.

and if I run out of space i would continue to wrap around normally. would the small gaps in the wire between the magnets bring on some kind of god awful interference? or would saturation help?

Good luck , hope the wire does not break and I also hope that the posts don't bend/flex.
That would kill the coil for sure .
