Just snagged a new one of these on eBay for $72 US - not a bad price as far as I'm concerned. I'm looking forward to experimenting with it when I get my Roland JC-120 in September. I guess you all know my story by now - if it's Rickenbacker, I'll have one please!!
Anybody else got one? If so, please tell me how you use yours.
Cheers!

For bass I run my lows unadulterated through a 15" & my highs through a 4x10. Any effects I use (distortion in particular) are on the amp with the highs.
Pretty cool IMHO.

I don't have a Ric-O-Sound, I use a Y-split cable & feed the two pups on my 4003 into seperate channels on the desk (Roland BR-1600). By varying the EQ, reverb & chorus on each channel you can get some amazing sounds

I also ran a split Y from my 4001 into a mixer. I ran the neck pup straight in but put a distortion on the bridge pup. It sounded great, like instant Chris Squire
