Funny thing was, during my searches for Rickenbacker, it never showed up. I wanted that surround and the tuners,was going to sell the rest off.

I would have bought the output jackplate from you. My '75 fretless 4001 still doesn't have one! Image

I have a smigen<sp> of hope. The buyer is in the UK, and the seller prefers not to ship there. I sent an e-mail, but the bidder may have had prior approval. We'll see.

You can't use that Horseshoe Marc, It's made backwards. (~;

the reissue surround is upside down because the mounting screw spacing is reversed from the higain version.

I don't understand why it has the horseshoe, but has a non-toaster neck PU? My 72 has a toaster neck and the newer treble PU.

Was the horseshoe an option in the 70's?

I've seen some odd Ricks though, like a new 4001 fretless with oval fingerboard markers...

"Funny thing was, during my searches for Rickenbacker, it never showed up"

Next time you can try my search... here it is. Searches all countries, all categories, covers spelling errors, and filters out BS items.

I figured it was a reissue.
