Rickenbacker pulled them from their replacement parts list about 3 yrs ago.

Robert, you can get them through this site
www.ricpage.com. At least they have the trapeze tails listed under parts.

Unfortunately Stan, Mike Parks is sold out of them and RIC won't supply them as a replacement part anymore.
Mike should update that page and remove the Horseshoe from it entirely IMO.
But hey, you can still buy a new Horseshoe pickup, you just have to buy the entire bass with it.

I just got a perfect replacement horseshoe pickup for my 4001 handmade for me by Jason Lollar at Lollar Guitars.
http://www.lollarguitars.com
He only makes then in limited batches, so if you want one, you have to get your name on the list for the next batch and get a deposit into him. Well worth it though IMHO.

I've got one of Lollar's HS on my 68 4001 and love it. True to the originals IMO!
