I found a 77 Mapleglo at a local shop and I had to buy it. Didn't have any choice I had to have it I think you know what I mean. I probably paid too much for it but it is in very nice shape. The neck is a little heavy. More than I am use to but it sounds awesome. I have taken it to practice in both the bands I am in. I have gotten some nice complements on it. I still have a new Jetglo on order that is paid for so I will soon have two!

Two is twice as good as one!
Post some pics of the 77. Sounds like a nice guitar.

Hi Scott, welcome to the Forum !!
RAS is even worse, just wait, starts with a single Ric, before you know you're on your third or fourth. with a fifth in the wings ....
My first Ric was a wonderfull Jan 73 Fireglo, with almost all the goodies. Bought new from McCormacks Music in Glasgow, not too many Rics in the UK at that time !!!
I recently got myself a June 72 Fireglo with almost the same goodie list, she just needs a Horseshoe .

And MY first bass was a MG '77 too!!!
I guess 1977 was a good year for MG 4001 sales!

O.K. This may be a dumb question. But what is "GAS" and "RAS"?

Gear Acquisition Syndrome, Ric Acq Syndrome.
Too damn many acronyms and abbreviations, it's become a sickness since computers have come into wide usage.
