I guess some 75's have the closed tuners and some the open ones...mine has the open geared tuners...

Ditto what Bob said.

I remember that one, wasn't it for sale six months ago and didn't meet the reserve? No reserve this time.

Seller wants payment in 3 days, but won't accept PayPal. What's up with that?

Nice bass though.

Ed those are Grover tuners, were stock until sometime in 73 then they were put on sporadically until the early 80's when they ran out of regular tuners which were reverse during those years. They were stock for only a few years.

I saw that too, Jon. What does he expect you to do, FedEx him a money order? Kind of a strange demand..

My memory may be failing but, I seem to remember you could buy Grovers as replacements in the late 70's

It's been up a few times in the past 6-8 months with a reserve that never was reached ...

Payment is a little strange .. maybe fly up clutching a fresh batch of Ric-O-Vouchers !!!

Maybe, but if you did and put them on that bass the old screwholes would show.

I seem to remember he was only a few hours drive from where I live. Hmmm... I might have a go at this one.
