Don't want to be too rude, but that thing is UGLY.

It would make a cool front door handle at Graceland or the Hall of the Mountain King or something...

That is the most horrific headstock I've ever seen.

Yeah, but you could hang it on a nail...perfect for the garage!

This baby looks equally inconvenient for Rightie and Leftie alike...but then nobody ever played a doubleneck for how good it felt.

(Hey Paul, I'm back...)

Phew. Trying to uphold the wacko left of left has caused me to lose all my hair...

But that happened twenty-two years ago--welcome back, Dan-O!

G'day Dane..... did ya do any 'bar rasslin'?

I did indeed, Howard, but it's quite safe and easy to do up there...the barstools are all very stoutly built and afford great leverage.

Thanks, Paul...picked up a used copy of "Mother! The Frank Zappa Story" by Michael Gray in an Anchorage bookstore. An informative read...bulbous, as it were...

Perhaps when I've gathered my thoughts (I coulda sworn they were in my hand-carry), I'll start a 'what I did on my Summer vacation' thread.

Whut's that about a clinic, aitch?

Dane, also tapered...

New Ry Cooder album released yesterday...soundtrack to the film "Chavez Ravine". Great story also on him and career in this month's WORD (uk). The music is amazing.

And that's it for the lower 48. Out.

I think it’s a great doubleneck. I believe that less than ten were made. Check out the web site for Carvin. (Good site)

I bought the one I have from the Webmaster, (nice guy).

I think I have the only one made in KOA.

Too expensive. Just go down to the tank and shake it out for a few days.

Everything's funny, Howard...if you're standing far enough away when it happens. (I hope you don't take this to mean that I'm happy about this state of affairs...)

If you don't think Betty Ford clinics are funny, fine...I'm with you. But the fact that Nelson Rockefeller's wife's name was 'Happy'? That one always gets at least a chuckle out of me...

What were we talkin' about? Oh yeah, the wierd doubleneck...Nah, THOSE things I have sworn off...

You've got the back brace to prove it, eh Dane?

Well, among other things...those of us with a modicum of maturity give up the pelvic guitar thrusting long before the colostomy bag makes it more than just a bad idea...

I didn't read the clinic comment as a Betty Ford thing, Howard--more like a nutty thing, which we all are.

The BF never occurred to me, as a matter of fact...

Pelvic thrusting with a doubleneck. How could anybody tell anyhow?

No matter...it's a younger man's game, that's for sure.
