Beatles' Christmas 2000 CD

Post by admin »

Fom Michael Denger:

The Beatles are to release a new Christmas album in a bid to produce the biggest selling album of all time – despite the fact the band split up 30 years ago.

The new album will be released by their record company in November in time to hit the coveted No 1 spot at Christmas, and executives at the Parlophone record company reportedly believe it could become the biggest-selling album of all time.

Currently the biggest selling album ever is Michael Jackson's Eighties classic Thriller - which sold over 40 million copies.

"Record company bosses have been doing their utmost to keep this top secret," said one inside source. "At the moment they are still even calling the album Project X. They think, because of the new technology allowing more tracks to be on the CD, they have got a real winner on their hands.

Fat Rat: This was an early comment on what was to become the Beatles 1 CD. It is, of course, still on the shelves and has been a big success.
