The "rock out like motorhead" bass on ebay

everyone's seen the $1700 '77 4001 on ebay from gcrep822 i'm sure. my 2 guitar players work for GC and they are ashamed of the auctions. HOWEVER...they are going to have that bass transferred to their store so I can check it out first hand. they are pretty sure they can sell it for a little over half of what the tag says. so, can't hurt to look, eh?

I have played the bass a number of times. It's nice, nothing special really, and DEFINITLEY not worth anywhere near $1700.
Also, it's in damn good shape if memory serves.

For $850 it may be a reasonable deal.
Few gcrep auctions seem to be set up to even attract bids it seems.

I'd offer $750 ... but only if it comes with a case ...
