Looks like a design that Reverend sort of copied for the Rumblefish.

I've actually played one of these years ago. Nice bass.

While I really like the look of 'em (was considering getting one out of Japan a while ago), i've heard a few people say that they're nothing special...like most Charvel stuff, made for the lower end of the market.
Still, they do look pretty neato.

Enough success that you would sell off your prized 4005 on the cheap to a needy forum member?
Welcome aboard!

Welcome Robert! Check with Chris Pappas, he may have the 4005 you are looking for.
Here is mine that I got in'73, my first Rickenbacker.

Hi Robert, welcome to the forum.
I've writen you (Waterstone) a couple of times and asked if you'd make me a "Fireglo".
Your 4005 is gorgeous, the 4-stringers you make are also very nice looking.

wow! beautiful basses. thanks for the photos. if any are available for sale, please let me know.
regarding the ME-2, we have had some new interest (
http://12stringbass.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=530) in them and will probably make some more soon. input on finishes would be fun to read but i don't want to solicit business in this forum. i don't like the way that comes across.
thanks for the warm welcome..
