Speaking of blending the burst, why do so many Fireglos have such a terrible fade job on the back? I've seen a few where the center is almost completely white.

Agreed! Some fireglos just have a thin "line" of red at the edge. The rest is PINK! I'm sure some like it that way, but I prefer the more vintage look, with the red gradually blending to a more yellowish colour in the center. I wonder: Will the the pink hue on the new ones get more yellow with age?
