Filling in the amp 'blank'

Some of you may know that I've been waffling around trying to decide on an amp:
The little Roland Cube 30 is OK, but I wanted something with a bit of class and respectability. So I finally bit the bullet:
An AC-30CC1 and Valvetronix Tonelab SE.... wheeeee!!
I may still get a Roland JC-120 when they arrive in the country in September.
Oh...... and there's a bass rig also:
I've bought some interesting non-Rick goodies as well, but two of those are at the clinic getting a checkup, so I'll post them in the 'Others' topic next weekend.

Howard, what a great set-up! The two amps which compliment Rics better than all others are the venerable AC30 and JC120. Your occasional countryman Marty Willson-Piper utilised one of each for years.
The crystalline pure sound of the Roland (and all its attendant headroom) coupled with the responsiveness and bite of the Vox is a fine marriage.

If you look at the bass photo you'll see that the Panasonic vacuum cleaner is looking to make a quick exit too!!
You are right, of course, Paul. Back in January I had a Squier Strat, Brian Moore and Yamaha electric acoustic. I won't talk dollars, but since then I've welcomed:
3 Rick Guitars (the fourth is on order)
1 Rick Bass
1 Gibson ES-335
1 Gibson SG
1 Fender MIA Tele
1 Lap King custom lap steel
1 David Eden WT-400 bass rig
1 Vox AC-30CC1
1 Valvetronix Tonelab SE
1 Janglebox (in transit)
Plus the usual assortment of stands, strings, cleaning stuff, straps, forum T-shirts and mugs, books, etc....
And I'm sure there will be one or two others coming at some stage........
Thanks for the compliment, Noel. I'd like to think that I've set myself up pretty well with quality gear (especially the Ricks, of course!). I certainly will enjoy it all - I just need to work on my playing.
Speaking of which, where's that 'Rock Guitar For Dummies' book and CD I bought a while back??

Lindsay: As far as the Rickenbackers are concerned - for looks, nothing beats the 660/12 FG!! To play, probably the 330/6 over the 350 by a whisker. Then again, I need to spend some more time with the 350. Can't wait for the 360/6 FG that's on order - the neck on the two that I've played were just sensational!
The others - The Tele is a dream to play, as is the ES-335. I'll get the SG back from the luthier on Monday so I'll have a better idea after that.
Overall - nothing beats a Rick!! Probably not the most 'playable' guitars in my collection but by far the most beautiful and collectible. And they definitely extract the most oooohs and aaaahs when mentioned to those in the know!
