One happy camper here. Wednesday night got home from practice where I blistered my finger tips. Have not done that in years. Knew it was happening but was having way to much fun to stop or switch to a pick. Anyway when I got home and decided to see what was up here. There was a post about the new RIC websight so I had to go and check it out. Found the tab about recently shipped basses. Bass NW was recently shipped two a FG and a JG. The very next day I get a call telling me my new bass is there. Hurray!!! When I got there I asked to see the FG but its new owner had allready picked it up. Man I am one happy camper. This bass is very nice. Wish I hadn't trashed my finger tips like I did. Still I can play with a pick. Sounds great. Different than my 77 MG. Must be the cap in the 77. And the strings of coarse. I might change the set up then again I might not. Plays very well. I am happy to report that the neck feels the same as the 77. Might be different physical dimensions but not enough for me to notice at this point. I did notice that the volute extends a little more on the 77. Sitting here staring at the two I notice only minor differences. The machine head is a little larger on my new one. and the knobs are spaced a little differently.Oh and the TRC does not give the model # like the 77 does. But the overall quality still shines thru unlike other manufactures whos quality has suffered in recent years. Enough of this break I got to get back to annoying my neighbors. Good thing they real easy going.
